Heart Disease Self-Scheduler

Basic Criteria: 

• Be 18 years or older and diagnosed with Heart Disease OR be 40 years or older and at very high risk for Cardiovascular Disease 

• Be on two forms of stable medication for High Blood Pressure for at least 1 month 

Please note additional criteria will apply 

Answers Must Be No: 

• If female, are you breastfeeding, pregnant, or planning on becoming pregnant? 

• Do you have secondary high blood pressure caused by a condition such as renovascular hypertension, primary aldosteronism, pheochromocytoma, Cushing syndrome, or aortic coarctation? (High blood pressure from chronic kidney disease is allowed.) 

• Have you taken any of the following in the last month, or do you plan to take any of the following during the study: triamterene, amiloride, endothelin receptor antagonists, direct renin inhibitors (e.g., aliskiren), or aldosterone synthase inhibitors? 

• Are you currently taking both an ARB and an ACE inhibitor (either separately or in combination medications like ARNIs or ACE inhibitor/diuretic combos)? 

• Have you used a potassium binder for high potassium in the last 3 months? 

• Have you ever had renal denervation therapy? 

• Have you started or stopped a sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitor in the last month? 

• Have you lost more than 10% of your body weight in the past 3 months, including from weight-loss medications like GLP-1 agonists? 

• Are you currently taking, have you taken in the past 6 months, or do you plan to take another RNAi therapeutic or antisense oligonucleotide (approved or investigational) during the study? 

• Have you been hospitalized for heart failure or have you had a major heart or blood vessel event (such as a heart attack, stroke, or revascularization procedure) in the past 2 months? 

• Do you have New York Heart Association Class IV heart failure (severe symptoms at rest)? 

• Do you have a known history of angioedema? 

• Do you have a history of intolerance to SC injections? 

• Have you had a major organ transplant, or do you expect to have a transplant during the study? 

• Do you have an active psychiatric condition—such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, or severe depression—that is not well-controlled with treatment? 

• Have you been diagnosed with liver cirrhosis? 

• Do you have a major surgery or procedure under general anesthesia planned during the study? 

• Do you have active cancer requiring ongoing medical or surgical therapy? (Non-melanoma skin cancers, cervical in situ carcinoma, breast ductal carcinoma in situ, or stage 1 prostate cancer are allowed.) 

• Have you received an investigational drug or medical device in the last month? 

• Do you have HIV, Hepatitis B, or Hepatitis C? 

Answers Must Be Yes 

• Have you been taking at least two blood pressure medications—one of which is a calcium channel blocker or a type of water pill (like thiazide or loop diuretics)—and has your treatment stayed the same for at least one month? 

• If female of childbearing potential and sexually active, are you willing to use contraception throughout the study?
