Gout Study Self-Scheduler

Qualified Participants Must: 

• Be 18 to 75 years old
• Be diagnosed with gout for at least 1 year and have visible lumps (tophi) on your hands, wrists, feet, or ankles
• Currently be taking allopurinol at a stable dose for at least 3 months

Answers Must Be No:

• Do you have infected or draining tophi?
• Have you had a heart attack, stroke, or serious blood clot in the past year?
• Do you have severe heart failure (NYHA Class III or IV)?
• Do you have a history of kidney stones in the past year?
• Have you had cancer (except treated skin cancer) in the past 5 years?
• Do you have uncontrolled urological or gastrointestinal disorders?
• Have you had major surgery in the past 90 days?
• Are you allergic to dotinurad, colchicine, or NSAIDs?
• Do you have HIV, Hepatitis B, or Hepatitis C?

Answers Must Be Yes:

• Are you between 18 and 75 years old?
• Have you been diagnosed with gout for at least 1 year?
• Do you have at least one visible tophus (5–30 mm) on your hands/wrists or feet/ankles?
• Have you been taking allopurinol at a stable dose (≥300 mg/day or ≥200 mg/day if moderate kidney impairment) for at least 3 months?
• Is your BMI between 18.5 and 45, and your body weight at least 110 lbs?
• If you are a woman of childbearing potential, can you confirm a negative pregnancy test and agree to use contraception?
• If you are a man, will you agree to use contraception and not donate sperm during the study?
