Answers Must Be No:

• Do you have diabetes (type 1 or type 2) or have you taken diabetes medications recently?
• Have you had a heart attack, stroke, heart failure, or other major heart problem in the past 12 months?
• Do you have uncontrolled high blood pressure?
• Do you have kidney disease?
• Do you have liver disease, pancreatitis, or gallbladder problems?
• Do you have major stomach or digestive conditions that affect how your body absorbs food or medicine?
• Are you currently taking long-term steroid medications?
• Have you had cancer (other than certain skin cancers) within the past 5 years?
• Do you or your family have a history of certain rare thyroid cancers (such as medullary thyroid cancer or MEN2)?
• Do you have serious or unstable mental health conditions, or have you had suicidal thoughts or attempts in the past 10 years?
• Are you pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant soon?
• Have you used GLP‑1 medications (such as Wegovy, Ozempic, Mounjaro) within the past 6 months?
• Have you recently started medications that can cause major weight changes?
• Do you currently use recreational drugs or drink alcohol heavily?
• Have you participated in another clinical trial and taken study medication recently?

Answers Must Be Yes: 

• Are you between ages 18 and 65? 
• If your BMI is 27-29.9, do you have at least one weight-related health condition (high blood pressure, high cholesterol or triglycerides, cardiovascular disease, or obstructive sleep apnea)? 
• Have you tried at least once to lose weight with diet without lasting success? 
• Has your body weight been stable for the past 3 months (weight change less than 5 kg)? 
• Do you weigh 140 kg (308 lbs) or less? 
• If female of childbearing potential, are you willing to use two forms of effective contraception (at least one highly effective) through 3 months after the last dose? 
• If male with female partners of childbearing potential, are you willing to use a male condom and another highly effective contraception method through 150 days after the last dose?
