Osteoarthritis Knee Pain Study Self-Scheduler

Qualified participants must:

• Be 18 years and older

• Have knee osteoarthritis pain

• Have a BMI greater than 27 kg/m²

• Not have Type 2 Diabetes

Answers Must Be No 

• Do you have Type 1 or Type 2 Diabetes?

• Have you had bariatric surgery or plan to have one soon?

• Do you have other joint diseases (like rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis)?

• Are you pregnant or planning pregnancy?

• Have you had knee replacement surgery?

• Are you currently in another clinical trial?

• Do you have severe liver, kidney, or heart problems?

• Do you have a history of severe depression or suicidal thoughts?

• Are you allergic to acetaminophen and ibuprofen?

Answers Must Be Yes: 

• Are you 18 years or older?

• Do you have a BMI greater than 27?

• Has your weight been stable (less than 5% change) for the past 90 days?

• Have you tried at least one diet attempt to lose weight?

• Do you have knee pain for more than 12 weeks?

• Has your knee pain occurred on at least 15 days in the past month?

• Are you willing to stop chronic pain medications (except acetaminophen or ibuprofen)?

• Are you able to self-inject or have someone assist you?

• Are you willing to attend regular study visits and follow instructions?
